I have not been here for a shave for over a year because service and quality was declining but I decided to give them another shot. I'm unfortunately quite disappointed and will not be returning. To be clear, the beard shave was fine, but I don't spend just shy of $100 for a beard shave that is fine. I drive across town and spend that money for an experience which did not materialize once again. I parked in the parking lot from last year and was charged $11 only to find out that if I went into the garage it would have been validated. There was no notice in my confirmation on where to park so if you add that to my bill I spent over $100 for a 20 minute shave. When I entered no one was there to greet me, I waited for 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me for check in. No one offered me a water, a coffee or a drink. Again, the beard trim was adequate but I was in and out in less than 30 minutes including the 5 minute wait for someone to simply say hello. I barely received a straight razor treatment and the hot towel was on my face for all of 20-30 seconds. Not relaxing. There is no reason to go here vs. another friendly, local barber that will charge me $30 for a shave. This place is a great idea for a little luxury experience for men, but it just keeps falling short. Anyone can make a tasty cheeseburger, but it's the experience and service that justifies higher prices. This cheeseburger is not worth it.

Everything about this place is amazing, I received a 10/10 quality haircut — however Mel deserves to be recognized for her kindness, love, and overwhelmingly positive energy. She is a beautiful soul who provided me with an unforgettable service, and genuinely boosted my self esteem and confidence. Also to mention, Chet is a very kind and knowledgeable bartender, (and very handsome). All the staff i engaged with from the host stand, to the bar, to the chair, made me feel warm and welcomed. 🫶🏻

If you are a male who suffers from ptsd when it comes to haircuts I highly recommend The Anguished Barber. Not only will you be greeted by the ultimate customer service but you will be given handcrafted drinks as you wait for your time in chair. The bartenders are warm and welcoming and very personable. They will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Each barber is experienced in the craft and are prepared to create a long lasting relationship with their clients based on their skills and personality. The price is more on the heavier side but you pay for the experience, but most importantly the confidence that you will walk away looking like a million bucks.

I made an appointment with the highly rated James. The haircut was amazing and I’ve been receiving so many compliments! James took time to understand what I like about my hair and what I don’t. He did not rush anything. He probably spent an hour on me - shampoo, haircut, hot towels — amazing! I genuinely thing this place is fire. Very chic, full bar, spacious and warm. I’ve found my new forever barber!

10 out of 10. This place is amazing. My partner is a regular client to this barbers. He would show me videos and pictures and they would all look amazing. I travelled from the UK to get this trim. Trust me, it didn't disappoint. I had the pleasure of getting a pre birthday trim 😊 Kedar is a great barber. He is my partner's barber who I had the pleasure of getting my hair done. I didn't need to say much as Kedar already had an idea of how he was going to trim my hair. I wanted to keep my curls on the top and he was like cool. I am very particular when it comes to allowing someone new to trim my hair. I felt relaxed and reassured that I was going to walk out feeling amazing, and he wasn't wrong. The conversation, the hot towels, the homemade oil. Just amazing. From just walking in the door, walking down the steps, seeing the bar and being greeted. 10/10. If all barbers were like this, dam I would want to go every week. Again, the service from the bar. Perfect. If you are into chess, they hold chess games every Tuesday, they too. I had an amazing experience, I would definitely be back again.
